**Heart of Wellness Workouts (Zookinesis)  
Mondays & Wednesdays : 11:00 a.m.- Noon

Everyone is welcome to join our workouts.
Zookinesis is a mild exercise designed to bring youthful vitality back to the body. This program works on all parts of the body, restoring muscle tone and strength, joint strength and flexibility as well as improved breathing and concentration.  

'Printfluence' : A Travelling Art Exhibition from the Art Gallery of Alberta
August 31 - September 28 : Display will be open regular hours when program room is not in use.
Four Alberta artists from diverse formal backgrounds explore the boundaries of woodblock printing.

World Alzheimer's Day  - CANCELLED!!
Tuesday, September 20 : 1:30-3:00 p.m.
Have you wondered if you will get dementia?  Are you caring for womeone who you suspect has the disease or who likely has it?  Join Kendra from the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories for a discussion about what dementia is and what your chances are of getting the desease.  We will also talk about how a brain without dementia processes information versus a brain with dementia.

Mindfulness & Meditation Workshop
Monday, October 3 : 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Mindfulness and meditation are the newest buzz-words with much research on their many health and wellness benefits.  Learn simple movements, breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to improve concentration, focus, mood, and memory and relaxation and reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain.  Discover simple ways to put mindfulness into action.  We will learn the most popular types of meditation and you will leave with an easy plan to incorporate this practice into your life.

Healing With Crystals
Tuesday, October 4 : 7:00-8:30 p.m.
You will learn a basic knowledge, using your intuitive skills, trusting and relying on your intuition of wisdom ... how to work and heal with crystals, stones and rocks.  With the North Saskatchewan River valley literally right at your fingertips, you are able to enjoy the bounty of rocks, stones and crystal healing energy at your leisure.  How amazing is that!!

Stirring the Inkwell

Develop, explore and celebrate your literary gifts with a monthly creative writing workshop.  This group is safe, fun, and no writing experience is necessary.  All supplies are provided but you are welcome to bring a favourite pen and notebook.  Laptops are welcome.
This group is not a critique group.  You do not have to share your work.  The group meets the first Wednesday of each month.

Introduction to Ley Lines
Tuesday, October 11 : 7:00-8:30 p.m.  Registration deadline: Friday, October 7
Be introduced to the ancient to modern teachings and detection of ley lines, their effects, where they are found and the potential energies they represent.  Observe and participate in locating the lines in the teaching space, and their neutralization.  We may do some map-dowsing too if time permits so bring a drawing to scale of your home or business.  We will use dowsing, noticing and muscle checking techniques.  Learn how reducing the effects of ley line interference in your living space can improve your health and why that is so.  We may even shift  the energy of the electrical panel in the building to reduce the ELF effects on library staff and members.  There will be a small handout.

Join Judy Cooper, a certified Personal Fitness Trainer specializing in Gerontology, Active Aging & Wellness for an afternoon of movement, learning and discussion.  Judy will bring together all of the information you need to start, renew or continue your personal wellness journey.  Learn about healthy eating improving sleep, maintaining mobility, increasing strength, brain health, meditation and much more.  "Start Where You Are" is for everyone! We provide an encouraging and accepting atmosphere to learn, ask questions and share while gettintg motivated on your wellness journey.  Spring back into wellness while having fun - just "Start Where You Are"!
